A note on English country dancing, if you’ve seen a Jane Austen film, you’ve likely seen some recreation of English country dancing. It's a form of social folk dance that was extremely important to me growing up. I love it, and I’ve always wanted it at my wedding, so I’m excited to share it with you! English country dancing does not require a lot of athleticism or knowledge. The full dance is taught and prompted by a caller, making prior experience unnecessary. If you do want to give it a try before the big day, there are weekly English country dances at Glen Echo MD on wednesdays and Baltimore on Mondays.

More Information
Parking
Parking will be street parking and is limited (see parking map in the FAQ). Please leave the parking by the house available for the people who need to to load in/out for the wedding. If you need to be closer to the house for accessibility reasons, just let us know and we’ll make sure there is room for you to park.
On Arrival
On arrival, please enter through the front door and proceed through the house and down the back steps to the lawn where the ceremony will be held. Someone will be on hand to direct you.
Dessert
Although we will have an incredible wedding cake, we would like to expand our dessert options! Variety is the spice of life, after all. If you are able to help us by bringing a dessert, please contact Vita at guenandroderich@gmail.com for coordination and information. Gluten free desserts would be particularly welcome. This can be your gift to us.
Clean Up
Erich and Alice Marschner have generously offered to host our wedding and celebration in their own home. Any assistance at the end of the night to help keep their house and lawn as beautiful as we found it would be greatly appreciated
